Man injured in motorcycle crash at Rainbow Beach
A man in his 30s has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue after he crashed his motorcycle this morning.
The rider was travelling along a road, approximately five kilometres west of Rainbow Beach, when he lost control and came off the motorcycle.
He suffered a suspected lower leg injury in the crash.
The Sunshine Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was dispatched from the Maroochydore base at 11am, landing at the Rainbow Beach helipad within 20 minutes.
The man was flown to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
One third of all missions flown by RACQ CareFlight Rescue are in the Wide Bay and Burnett region.
