Man injured in Wide Bay Highway crash

RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a man who was injured in a single vehicle crash on the Wide Bay Highway, approximately four kilometres east of Goomeri.

The 32-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle some time before 7am this morning, causing it to veer off the road.

The car came to rest when it struck a tree on its passenger side.

The Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter landed on the highway and its flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic treated the man for multi-trauma injuries.
He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
