Man airlifted after single vehicle rollover, Meandarra
The Surat Basin Gas Industry Aeromedical Service has airlifted a man who was injured in a single vehicle rollover near Meandarra.
The incident occurred yesterday (Thursday 26 June) evening which left the man trapped in his vehicle.
The Surat Basin Gas Industry Aeromedical Service flew to the scene where its flight crew worked with emergency services to free the man from the wreckage.
He was treated by a CareFlight’s Critical Care Doctor and Flight Intensive Care Paramedic for shoulder and leg injuries.
He was flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
The Surat Basin Gas Industry Aeromedical Service began flying in April 2011, to minimise impacts on community medical services in Queensland’s far south west.
The Service donates the aircraft to the community and has airlifted nearly 150 seriously ill or injured residents in that time.
