Man airlifted after prawn trawler injury
RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a man who was injured on a Mooloolaba prawn trawler in the early hours of this morning.
The man aged in his 60s suffered an injury to his leg while casting nets overboard at around 3am.
The Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter met the vessel at the Mooloolaba boat ramp car park where its flight doctor and intensive care flight paramedic treated the man’s injury.
He was flown to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
