CareFlight airlifts woman after horse fall
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to a property at Tamborine Mountain today to airlift a woman in her 50s seriously injured in a horse fall.
CareFlight’s Gold Coast-based chopper was called in just after 12 noon, landing on the property shortly after to treat the woman for suspected neck and head injuries.
She was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
However, it was determined upon arrival that she required further specialised treatment and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane by the same CareFlight crew.
