CareFlight airlifts patients from motor vehicle crash
The Toowoomba based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has airlifted a 23-year-old female from a fatal multi-vehicle crash south of Stanthorpe on the New England Highway.
The CareFlight critical care doctor and intensive care flight paramedic treated the young woman at the scene before she was transported in a stable condition to Toowoomba Base Hospital.
She has suspected neck and chest injuries.
A male relative travelled onboard the aircraft with her.
The EMQ helicopter also attended the scene and transported another patient from the accident to a Brisbane hospital.
One person is believed to have died at the scene.
