Boy injured while sand tobogganing at Rainbow Beach
RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a child who was injured while sand tobogganing at Rainbow beach.
The 11 year old had been sliding down dunes on a board at the Carlo Sandblow yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon when he fell approximately three metres.
He was transported to the Rainbow Beach helipad where the Sunshine Coast based RACQ CareFlight helicopter had landed.
The boy was assessed for a possible spinal injury and airlifted to Nambour General Hospital as a precaution last night.
He travelled in a stable condition.
