Second trail biker airlifted in one day
A man and a teenager have been injured in two separate trail bike incidents across the State today.
A 14 year old trail biker suffered suspected leg fractures while participating in an event at Leyburn Motorcross Park about 3pm today.
The Toowoomba based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to the scene and airlifted the boy, who travelled in a stable condition to Toowomba Base Hospital.
The patient's mother travelled by road to meet him.
Earlier, A 46-year-old man was injured after coming off a trail bike near the intersection of Cooloola Way and Rainbow Beach Road, Cooloola.
The Sunshine Coast based helicopter was called to the scene about 2pm.
An RACQ CareFlight Rescue Aircrewman said the man was treated at the scene.
A QAS Flight Paramedic and Doctor on-board the chopper treated the man for a suspected chest injury.
The man was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
