Two-year-old airlifted from Fraser Island
RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to the aid of a two-year-old boy on Fraser Island.
The young child and his mother presented to the QAS paramedic on the island for medical care after the child became unwell.
The Bundaberg based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the island this afternoon and landed at Happy Valley.
The helicopter’s Intensive Care Flight Paramedic treated the child who was then airlifted to Bundaberg Base Hospital for further treatment.
He was believed to have been suffering from an infection.
His mother accompanied the boy who travelled in a stable condition.
