Woman with fractured ankle winched from Springbrook
A woman in her 60s was winched from Springbrook National Park by the RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter on Sunday afternoon after slipping on wet rocks and fracturing her ankle.
RACQ CareFlight Air Crewman Luke Pagano said the woman was bush walking with friends when she fell.
"We winched our Paramedic down to the woman at around 1:30pm," he said.
"She was treated for a suspected fracture to her left ankle as well as a suspected head injury.
"We then winched her back into the aircraft and flew her to Gold Coast Hospital for further treatment," he said.
