Woman airlifted after crash
28 October 2013
An RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has flown to the aid of a 75 year old driver who crashed her vehicle around 9:30 this morning.
The Gold Coast crew landed in a paddock at the base of Mount Alford, just a few hundred metres from where the woman had lost control and hit a tree.
The Crosby woman was suffering chest injuries and a fractured leg.
She was treated at the scene by the helicopter’s flight doctor and intensive care paramedic before being airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
