Victorian tourist airlifted after Fraser Island fall
RACQ CareFlight Rescue has flown to Fraser Island to airlift a Victorian tourist who slipped on rocks at Indian Head.
The 58 year old woman was on a day tour of the island when she slipped, causing an injury to her leg.
Fraser Island paramedics transported the woman 10 kilometres north to Orchid Beach where the Bundaberg-based RACQ CareFlight was able to land.
She was stabilised by the helicopter’s intensive care flight paramedic before being airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital.
She was in a stable condition.
