Vehicle rolls several times, driver rescued
A woman who's 4WD rolled several times has been airlifted to hospital by RACQ CareFlight Rescue.
The Sunshine Coast crew was called to the crash on the Bruce Highway near Glenwood shortly before 7:30 this morning.
The vehicle's 23 year old driver told the crew she swerved to avoid an oncoming car.
Investigations into the crash are continuing, but it's believed the driver may have hit her head and that the vehicle continued out of control for some distance, before rolling and coming to a stop.
The woman suffered multi-trauma injuries. She was stabilised at the scene by the helicopter's Doctor and Intensive Care Fight Paramedic.
RACQ CareFlight airlifted her to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Her female passenger, aged 30, suffered minor injuries and was taken by road ambulance to Gympie Hospital
