The RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter was tasked to a stretch of road in Jondaryan, north west of Toowoomba, to airlift a 47 year old woman who had crashed her car into a pole.
RACQ CareFlight Air Crewman Brian Guthrie said it appears the woman may have been suffering from a medical condition which could have contributed to her losing control of the car.
“The woman was suffering chest pains from a suspected heart attack,” he said.
“Because of this, she came off the road and hit the pole at a low speed.
"She did not suffer any injuries from the crash itself but she did require airlifting to hospital to determine the cause of her chest pains.
“The chopper landed roadside to treat the woman and she was then airlifted to the PA Hospital in Brisbane for further treatment.”

She was in a stable condition at the time of airlifting.
