Lamb on menu and models at fashion show banquet
Top Australian fashion designers Alex Perry and Josh Goot will showcase unique garments at a world class fashion event at the Jondarayan Woolshed on Friday 6 September.
The Wool 2013 Fashion Show is the main drawcard of the Jackie Howe Festival of the Golden Shears Grand Banquet which will showcase the wool industry and the Darling Downs region to 200 special guests.
More than $45,000 worth of wool-based couture will be on display with organisers of the recent Melbourne Fashion Festival at the helm of this premier fashion event.
The Banquet, proudly supporting RACQ CareFlight, will delight guests with a menu of premium Australian lamb, fine wines and outstanding fashion.
RACQ CareFlight’s Suzie Washington says everyone is invited to attend this exciting event with tickets still available.
“The fashion show will bring together all of the elements of the Australian Sheep and Wool industry,” she said.
“Not only would you be supporting the historic Jondaryan Woolshed, you’ll also be supporting your local helicopter rescue service as all funds from the charity auction on the night will be donated to RACQ CareFlight.”
The fashion show is set to be the highlight of the evening with footwear, apparel and accessories on show from some of Australia’s top designers.
Tickets to the event are $150 per person which includes a four course lamb-inspired dinner and beverages.

The Festival is a celebration of 19th century Australia showcasing the history and heritage that helped establish and grow the Darling Downs region.
