Hiker winched from Mount Coolum

The Sunshine Coast RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew to Mount Coolum earlier today to airlift a man in his 40s who was suffering chest pain after hiking to the peak of the mountain.
QAS Paramedics were on scene when the helicopter arrived.
CareFlight’s Intensive Care Paramedic was winched down to assess the patient before winching the 46 year old back into the aircraft.
The man was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
