Cairns woman airlifted after Bruce Highway crash
The Bundaberg region's dedicated emergency helicopter, RACQ CareFlight Rescue, has airlifted a 45 year old woman from the scene of a single vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway.
The Cairns woman was travelling north along the Kalpowar stretch of the highway when she lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road. The car rolled but came to rest upright in a roadside culvert.
RACQ CareFlight landed at the scene where its intensive care flight paramedic treated the woman for injuries to her head.
She was flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
A male passenger also onboard escaped without injury.
