Bundaberg Masonic Lodge backs RACQ CareFlight
RACQ CareFlight crews will be strapped in for a safer ride thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Bundaberg Masonic Lodge.
The Lodge have donated two safety vests to be used by air crewman at CareFlight's Bundaberg base.
The Switlik X-Back vests, worth more than $1,300, are a critical safety component required for the aeromedical airlifting of patients.
The new vests will replace those currently used by CareFlight and provide additional protection to torso and neck areas.
RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s Bundaberg Base Manager, John Kennedy, said CareFlight relies heavily on the hard work and generosity of community groups like the Bundaberg Masonic Lodge.
“Their efforts ensure we can continue to provide rapid response medical care to people when they need us,” Mr Kennedy said.
“The safety of both our patients and flight crews are always RACQ CareFlight’s highest priority and thanks to the Bundaberg Masonic Lodge, we can continue to save lives of those in need.”
