70 year old suffers spinal injuries after 3m fall
A 70 year old man suffered suspected spinal injuries on Monday after falling three metres off a hay shed at his property, west of Boonah.
The RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter was called in to treat and transport the man to the PA Hospital in Brisbane.
RACQ CareFlight Aircrewman Ben Trollope said the 70 year old was loading hay into the shed when the accident occurred.
“He’s fallen from a height of around three metres,” he said. <
“We placed the patient on a spinal board and airlifted him to the PA Hospital for scans. He travelled in a stable condition,” Mr Trollope said.
