CareFlight responds to two motorbike accidents
This afternoon, the RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter service performed two critical rescue missions, both involving motor bike riders.
The crew first flew to Rathdowney at around 1pm to airlift a male rider who had crashed his bike into a steel pole fracturing multiple ribs.
He was airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital in a stable condition.
The second mission was to a stretch of road, 50km east of Inglewood, where a 33 year old male rider fell from his bike while on a riding trip with other motorcyclists.
He suffered mulitple rib fractures and a suspected fractured pelvis.
The RACQ CareFlight helicopter airlifted the man to the Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
