Man missing for two days winched to safety
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter has winched to safety a man who has been missing for two days in Gold Coast bushland.
The buswalker activated a personal EPIRB earlier this afternoon.
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was activated by AusSAR and the crew were able to locate the man in dense bushland, roughly 3kms south of O'Reilly's Guest House.
Aircrewman Luke Pagano said the CareFlight Paramedic was winched down to the scene to asses and treat the patient.
"The patient was winched back into the chopper with a knee injury. He was also badly dehydrated," he said.
The 50-year-old man was taken to the Robina Hospital for further treatment.
