More than 500 revellers will frock up and join the festivities for RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s 2014 ETS South West Gala Ball on Saturday May 31.
A highlight of the social calendar, this year’s Gala Ball will be CareFlight’s biggest and most exciting event yet with dazzling burlesque dance routines and a local band ensuring a packed dance floor.
RACQ CareFlight’s South West Relationship Manager Sarah Delahunty said guests will be blown away from the minute they walk in the door until the time they leave the dance floor.
“There are fantastic auction items up for grabs including overseas holidays, flights and accommodation packages, artwork, family entertainment, sporting memorabilia and much more.
“One lucky guest will also win a handmade diamond pendant valued at $10,000, which has been very generously donated by Bruce Robinson Diamonds.”
All funds raised from the event will go directly to RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s helicopter service, helping to keep the Toowoomba-based helicopter flying in the community.
More than 1,650 airlifts have been performed since CareFlight began operating from the Toowoomba base in 2006, showing just how vital the service is to the region.
“South West Queensland continues to be one of the busiest regions for RACQ CareFlight Rescue,” said Ms Delahunty.
“Last year, CareFlight’s crew treated and transferred 619 patients within and around the South West.”
In the eight years since CareFlight’s Gala Ball was first held in Toowoomba, the event has raised more than half a million dollars for the not-for-profit organisation.
With just over two weeks until the ETS CareFlight South West Gala Ball, organisers are busy putting the finishing touches on the event.
