Mother and daughter airlifted following near-drowning

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics attended to the pair at the scene, about 100 kilometres north-west of Brisbane, before transporting both patients to the nearby Esk Hospital by road.
The Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight crew was tasked to fly to the hospital at 2.20pm, with the Sunshine Coast helicopter also requested shortly after.

A woman in her early 30s was airlifted in a stable condition to Brisbane’s Mater Hospital; her 2-year-old daughter was flown to the neighbouring Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, also in a stable condition.

The circumstances of the near-drowning are unknown at this stage.
