The man suffered multiple injuries, including head, neck and leg injuries after he slipped and fell at the local national park.
It’s understood the man lost consciousness for a short time before emergency services arrived.
Due to the remote location, the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to assist at around 2.15pm.
The rescue helicopter quickly located the injured man and winched the on-board Critical Care Doctor and Flight Paramedic down to treat the patient at the scene.
He was then winched into the aircraft on a stretcher and flown to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
