Man rescued after a 7 tonne air compressor accident

The structure then rolled over him causing lower limb injuries.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew was tasked at 7:18 am this morning to Boondooma Dam (West of Murgon and Proston). The Elliot heads man was working at the site when the air compressor rolled.

Upon arrival the LifeFlight critical care doctor treated the patient for lower limb injuries until the paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) arrived.

The 33 year old man was then flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further assessment.

2016-17 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,342 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
