The Sunshine Coast man had been riding at around 1pm when he was thrown from the quad bike, landing approximately 15 metres away.
The man sustained a suspected shoulder injury as a result of the crash and the Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Helicopter was called to airlift him to hospital for treatment.
The Sunshine Coast helicopter crew attended back-to-back accidents today. This morning the crew was called to airlift a man in his 60s involved in a serious crash on the Bruce Highway, north of Gympie.
As a result of the crash a Hervey Bay man sustained suspected chest and abdominal injuries and was also airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
