Man injured in Fraser Island balcony fall

The Bundaberg-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the resort just after midday today.

The man from the ACT – who had been at the resort for a wedding overnight – fell approximately three metres at around 10.00 this morning.

It’s believed he spent some time laying on the ground, before he crawled into another area of the resort, where room service staff found him and raised the alarm.

He was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
