The man was holidaying at Bewer on Moreton Island when the incident occurred.
RACQ LifeFlight Rescue was tasked to the mission just after 4.30am.
Crews treated the man at the scene before airlifting him to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
