The rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene of the incident shortly before 5.45pm on Monday evening.
It’s believed the man had been walking along rocks before he slipped and fell from a height of around three metres.
The helicopter landed at the scene where the patient was assessed by CareFlight’s medical team.
He was then airlifted to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
