A man in his twenties have been airlifted to hospital by RACQ CareFlight Rescue with suspected head injuries after the car he was in rolled in a single vehicle accident earlier near Wondai.
The Sunshine Coast based helicopter was tasked to Murgon Hospital to airlift the patient just after 11 this morning.
The patient had been treated and transferred to the hospital by Queensland Ambulance.
He was flown to Nambour Base Hospital in a stable condition.
It’s the second single vehicle crash patient RACQ CareFlight Rescue has attended in three days.
On Thursday afternoon an elderly woman was injured when the car she was a passenger in rolled on the Mundubbera-Durong Road, south of Mundubbera.
The patient had suspected head and spinal injuries and was flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital.
One in ten of all missions RACQ CareFlight Rescue flies is to treat and transfer people seriously injured in road crashes.
