Man airlifted after near drowning incident at Rainbow Beach

The man was pulled unconscious from the surf and was treated by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics at the scene.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter landed at a nearby school oval, where they met the patient.
He was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
