Man airlifted after falling from a tree

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter met with the local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) crew  to treat the male, aged in his early twenties, who had suffered possible spinal injuries from the fall.

He was stabilised before being airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

The 2017-2018 financial year was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,452 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
