LifeFlight airlifts trail bike rider to hospital

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew was tasked to a state forest in the Goondiwindi region at 11am today following a trail bike incident.

It’s believed the male rider aged in his 50s was travelling with a family member when he crashed.

A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedic was first on scene to treat the man.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked with a local QAS paramedic to treat the patient for chest and shoulder injuries.

He was airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
