The Warrego Highway, north-west of Toowoomba, served as a makeshift landing pad for the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter which arrived at the scene of the crash shortly before 10 o’clock this morning.
The aeromedical crew worked alongside paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stabilise the woman for her flight to hospital.
She suffered multiple injuries and was airlifted in a critical condition.
It’s believed an SUV, B-Double and 4WD were in involved in the collision.
The QGAir helicopter also attended the crash.
