Heavily pregnant mother of three airlifted after suspected snakebite

The mother of three who is eight months pregnant, was reportedly bitten on the left foot by a Mulga snake while she was in the kitchen.

She was treated at the scene by CareFlight’s critical care medical team and flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.

The Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service began flying in April 2011, to minimise impacts on community medical services in Queensland’s far south west. The service donates the aircraft to the community and has airlifted nearly 150 seriously ill or injured residents in that time. -Ends-
