Head-on motorcycle crash leaves three seriously injured

A motorbike was overtaking a vehicle, when it collided head-on with a second motorbike, which was travelling in the opposite direction. 

Three people were injured.

The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted one woman to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The Queensland Government helicopter, QG Air, airlifted one patient to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

A third patient was driven by road ambulance to the RBWH.

The 2017-2018 financial year was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,452 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
