Gold coin donation at Wellcamp makes all the difference for RACQ CareFlight Rescue

Toowoomba’s RACQ CareFlight Rescue will receive any gold coin donations made on the day,” CareFlight Fundraising Manager Sarah Delahunty said.

We are very grateful to the people who will be giving, but also to Wellcamp and the Wagner Family for the opportunity.

Last year the Toowoomba helicopter alone flew more than 295 missions, but RACQ CareFlight Rescue’s three other bases combined to make it the busiest region in the flight zone with a total of 556 South West patients airlifted.

Nearly half of all the patients RACQ CareFlight Rescue treated and transferred last year were from the South West region,” Ms Delahunty said.

An estimated 30,000 people are expected to trek the tarmac of the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport at Cecil Plains Road to see Australia’s first privately funded public airport for themselves.

All the funds donated on the day will remain in the region to benefit local patients, in their greatest time of need. You can donate online as well at www.careflight.org.au/donate/
