It’s believed the man feel approximately 8 metres then spent around 12 hours in bush land before reaching help at Stanthorpe Hospital.
The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the hospital just after 8 o’clock this morning.
The aeromedical crew then flew the 24-year-old to Toowoomba hospital.
He was transported in a stable condition.
2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
