First on Scene Emergency Trauma Training
Accidents happen. Would you know what to do if you had a sudden need to help a loved one or stranger? What you do in those few moments before the ambulance arrives can greatly enhance patient outcomes, and could even save a life.
The LifeFlight Training Academy, working in conjunction with RACQ LifeFlight Rescue's critical care doctors, has developed a free online course for the community to improve patient outcomes.
The small things you do can make a BIG difference!
Easy, self paced online-delivered modules
Our training has been designed to make anyone feel more confident when "first on scene" at an accident or trauma incident.
You'll be surprised how easy it is to know more tomorrow than you do today, and make a real difference to someone you love or a stranger in need.
Listen to Dr Duncan McAuley, Medical Director of the LifeFlight Training Academy, talk about this course.
Why LifeFlight for First-on-Scene training?
In the past 12 months, RACQ LIfeFlight Rescue performed 6,333 lifesaving missions.
Our training modules are delivered by real RACQ LifeFlight Rescue critical care doctors. What they learn in the field in one week, in real emergencies, is being taught in LifeFlight Training Academy the next. These learnings are constantly updated to be latest in practice, and simplified here to be very easily digestible, simple, visual learning modules. Over time we will be adding more modules.
Real life situations
Your training is based on in-field, real-life, emergency response situations and is constantly refreshed, every time we learn something new.
Learn from ICU trauma specialists
LifeFlight is a critical care specialist - every LifeFlight rescue helicopter is an airborne ICU equipped with emergency trained doctors; we're not merely an "air ambulance".
We believe everyone should have access to the latest and best information to save lives and improve patient outcomes, and that is why we are offering this training to all, for FREE.
This is our give-back to the community - we want to raise Queensland's emergency awareness and improve lives! It costs nothing, and will make a big difference to someone, somewhere, some time.
Learn what to do when you're "First on Scene" at an accident or trauma incident, to make a big difference in someone's life.
When moments matter, be prepared, not powerless!
