The auction was held in memory of the young boy Matthew Vietheer who tragically passed in January after a wall collapsed on him.
Five vendors made up of friends, relatives and neighbours of the Vietheer family donated three pens of cattle for auction to raise much needed funds for the air rescue service.
The event, organised by the Vietheer family and Elders Toowoomba was strongly supported by local community and bidders.
“The buyers support was very good, the Vietheer family are long-time customers of Elders and when they approached us to assist us we were more than happy to help out” said Darren Hartwig of Elders.
RACQ CareFlight Rescue would like to thank the generosity of all bidders; the funds will go towards assisting all rural and local community members in need of medical assistance.
