It is believed that the 31-year-old Sunshine Coast man was riding with a group of friends when he fell from his bike while riding up a steep incline. He suffered a suspected broken leg as a result of the accident.
Due to boggy conditions caused by recent rain, road ambulances were unable to reach the man.
As a result, the Maroochydore-based helicopter was tasked to the scene shortly before midday.
The CareFlight crew were able to winch a doctor down the man, who stabilised the patient, before both were winched back into the helicopter.
The man was flown to the Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
