The chopper was called to the crash, in the Scenic Rim region, just before 3:30pm.
One of LifeFlight’s Critical Care Doctors, who travelled to the scene by road, was already treating the woman for multiple injures, on a nearby private property.
A second Critical Care Doctor, who was on board the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter, assisted with efforts to treat her.
The rescue helicopter was able to take off just after 4pm.
The woman was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital, in a critical condition, under the care of the two LifeFlight Critical Care Doctors, and a flight nurse.
2018 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,724 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
