The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight helicopter crew airlifted a man to hospital last night, after he was injured in a single vehicle accident.
The rescue chopper was tasked to the scene in the Western Downs region at 10:10pm (Sat 23 Nov) with the pilot and crew able to land on a road close to the scene.
The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) flight paramedic treated the patient alongside local QAS paramedics.
The 20-year-old male passenger suffered traumatic injuries to his head, chest and pelvis.
Due to poor flying conditions, he was airlifted to the LifeFlight Toowoomba base before being road transported by QAS to Toowoomba Hospital in a critical condition.
