The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to airlift the man, aged in his 30s after a concrete drainage pipe fell onto his leg while it was being laid.
RACQ LifeFlight Rescue airlifted the man to the Princess Alexandra hospital for further treatment.
It was a busy morning for the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew who performed back-to-back missions.
Earlier today, crews airlifted a man after he fell from a roof at a property in the Somerset region.
The man, aged in his 60s, suffered upper body injuries in the fall and was also airlifted to the Princess Alexandra hospital.
The 2017-2018 financial year was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,452 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
