The boy was visiting the area with his family when he was bitten.
He was accompanied by his mother on his flight to Mount Isa Hospital.
The boy was transported in a stable condition.
This mission marks the first time the aeromedical crew have landed at the new helipad at the hospital with a patient on board.
LifeFlight pilot Mike Slattery said he was impressed with the new helipad.
“It worked very well, good lighting, good security and seamless transfer of patient to hospital,” Mike said.
2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
