Child airlifted after being scalded by hot water

It’s believed the girl was at her home, near Noosa, with her mother, when the accident occurred.

The nine year old was treated on the scene by paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service.

She was then transported by ambulance to the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Maroochydore base before being flown to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.

The young girl was accompanied by her mother on the flight to Brisbane.

She was transported in a stable condition.

2016-17 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,252 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
