“It’s incredible to think that you can help save a life, just by choosing to have your presents wrapped by our volunteers,” CareFlight Fundraising Manager Leanne Angel said.
It’s the sixth year that dedicated CareFlight volunteers have cut, folded and created Christmas joy for Queensland families.
“Eighty-five people, from all walks of life, are devoting their spare time to manning the CareFlight Gift Wrap stall,” Ms Angel said.
“It’s centrally located just outside the front of Big W near the escalators.
Last year more than 13,000 presents were wrapped and $18,000 raised from the stall.
“People are so generous,” Ms Angel said.
“Some shoppers choose to make our Christmas with large donations.
“We’re looking to try and raise $20,000 this year.”
Chief, the CareFlight mascot, and RACQ CareFlight Rescue Aircrewman Luke Pagano will both make a special appearance at the CareFlight Gift Wrap stall tomorrow at 10am.
Shoppers can also win a limited edition CareFlight Christmas Elf and Pirate Bear in a raffle held at the stall.
“So come on over and have your photo taken with Chief and Aircrewman Luke and help give the gift of life this Christmas.”
