Busy weekend for RACQ CareFlight rescue crew

RACQ CareFlight Aircrewman Leigh Ainsley said the woman was bitten by a deadly Red-bellied black snake.

“We airlifted her to Toowoomba and she travelled in a stable condition.”
The mission was part of a double patient transfer with a 70 year old male from Stanthorpe also airlifted in the same flight.
The man was suffering from a gall bladder infection and was in a serious but stable condition.
Upon arriving back at the Toowoomba hangar, the crew was immediately tasked to Chinchilla to airlift a young woman who was suffering a suspected case of Meningitis.
