The aeromedical crew were tasked to the scene just after 5pm, where they assisted paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to stablise the boy before flying him to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The boy was transported in a stable condition.
2017 was a record year for LifeFlight for lifesaving missions with its aeromedical crews, community helicopters and Air Ambulance jets performing a record 5,344 missions throughout Queensland and around the world.
