Boy airlifted following fall from tree

It is believed that the child was playing on a private property when he climbed a tree and lost his footing, falling up to 5 metres.

He suffered suspected spinal injuries as a result of the accident.

The boy was treated by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics at the scene, before being handed over to the CareFlight medical team.

The patient was flown to Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
